When I saw this adorable cat snoozing on a pile of books, I wanted to color it right away! Luckily, Gerda Steiner Designs has this one as a digital stamp, so I downloaded and printed it on Neenah Solar White 80lb paper and was coloring in minutes. Now, we all know, I'll have to order the stamp too. But when I'm feeling impatient, digital stamps fill the bill quite nicely.
I grabbed my Hex Chart by Sandy Allnock, because I just don't color with Copic Markers without it. I made a color chart as I colored the image. I also used a few Staedtler triplus fineliner pens to add some detail on top of the Copic coloring.
I fussy cut the stamped (digital) image and glued it to a craft A2 card base with two patterned paper pieces from the Flora No. 2 6X6 paper pad by Carta Bella paper. The beautiful "Thanks" is Simon Says Stamp's Big Thanks die. I use this die set pretty often because I love the shadow under the letters. The velvet ribbon and black paper are items found in my crafty stash, and I don't remember where I got them. I hope you'll try out some of the fun digital stamps by Gerda Steiner Designs. And come back and check out my blog.
